3. 7. Community Outreach “The strategies you use depend on your outreach goal.” Scarborough Civic Action Network and Behrooz (2012) provided a comprehensive definition of community outreach. It is the process of communicating with communities and community members. Outreach can be done for promotion, education, research, information, connection, or services. The goal of outreach is to get community members more involved in what is happening in their community (p.8)
